Bay Haven Charter Academy, INC.
What do we believe and what are we all about?
We are compelled by state law to teach the FSA (Florida Standard Assessments) which are the controversial Core Curriculum Standards you have read about with just a small number of adjustments. However, we teach beyond the standards and we firmly believe in setting expectations for our learners based upon a powerful work ethic. There is a demand for rigor and a process/product based approach.
This is an organization of conservative values and powerful support for our military with the knowledge that not all students go to or need to go to college. Many need to move toward careers that better suit their life’s goals. However, our college preparatory program is dynamic with Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment courses along with a middle school Pre-AP program. We also offer the SAIL (Studies in Advanced and Innovative Learning) Program in our high school.
North Bay Haven and Bay Haven schools are consistently (for 13 years) ranked in the top 10% of all traditional and charter public schools in the State of Florida. We have the highest FCAT and EOC (End of Course) exams scores in Bay County every year in practically every subject at every grade level.
