Due to limited transportation resources, we will receive more requests for transportation than we have seats available. Because of this, we will have a lottery for available seating. All applications to be included in this must be submitted by the July 25th deadline. All applications received after that time will be placed on their respective bus lists in the order received and verified eligible.
Applications are not complete if you do not receive a confirmation email. Applications are date and time stamped as they are received. If you are unable to complete an application on-line please email firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
All applications eligible for transportation based on the eligibility rules will be identified prior to the lottery.
Preference status entitles an applicant to be offered an available seat ahead of applicants without a preference status.
Preference statuses for the transportation lottery are as follows:
1. Applicants who were actively riding a Haven bus at the end of the previous school year.
2. Applicants who are siblings (brothers or sisters) of those actively riding a Haven bus at the end of the previous school year, but not
3. All other applicants.
The number of offered seats for any particular bus route is determined by the capacity of the bus. Once those seats are filled, all other applicants who qualify for that particular bus route will be placed on the list in the order in which the applications were received and verified as eligible.
If someone who has a seat no longer needs transportation or the student does not ride for at least 2 weeks, the seat is considered declined and the student is dropped from the roster. The next student on the waiting list is offered the available seat. This process continues throughout the school year.
