Gypsy Vanner Horse Resources
The Internet is a wonderful thing. Ever since the Blarney Stone Acres site went live, we have been inundated with emails and letters from all kinds of visitors to the site from all over the world — both people who know and love the Gypsy horse breed, and those who want to learn more. Some have become owners of Gypsy horses. Many have become friends.
As the site has grown and evolved, we have received numerous questions about the background of Gypsy horses. Some people have asked for advice on the care and feeding of Gypsy horses in general, and others have sent us good information on this topic. People who have bought our Gypsy horses have sent us beautiful testimonials on how these animals have enriched their lives. And, of course, we are always getting requests to put up new pictures! After all, these animals are just so beautiful to look at — no one can get enough!
So this section of the site is a constantly growing clearinghouse of photos, advice, information, recommended reading, comments from visitors, and the feelings and observations of Gypsy horse owners about their beloved Gypsy horses.
We count among our friends many of the Romany people who live in England and who have been breeding these Gypsy horses for years. So we will be including insights into their ancient heritage and fascinating culture. In addition, we are a proud supporter of Robert Dawson's Gypsy Literacy Initiative, which you can read about in this section.
